TIMESTAR PREDICTIONS FOR SOLAR ACTIVITY & MAGNETIC STORMS
Pinpointing the date when the sun’s north and south poles began reversing in Year 2000 is the most spectacular prediction the TimeStar made in the first four years of its life. Between 1996 and 2000 the TimeStar repeatedly identified the 13-day windows in which Class X solar flares were possible; and this indicated that TimeStar windows were tracking a baseline solar cycle. Thirteen (13) days is a base factor for the movement of light around the sun’s equator.
After predicting the windows in which all Class X flares had occurred for three years, the cycle suddenly changed. A class X solar flare in June, 2000 was the first eruption of that magnitude that had occurred outside of the window the TimeStar had predicted since 1997, alerting me to the need for close observation to find what could have caused the change.
August, 2000 should have been a period of very large solar eruptions based on the previous years of experience. However, solar eruptions reached extraordinarily low levels in August before a large solar flare erupted in September, 2000. A new pattern was emerging of low solar activity during 13-day windows when flares had been high in previous years and large solar eruptions during 13-days windows when activity had been low in previous years.
The pattern of solar eruptions reflected in the glyphs of the ancient calendar had exactly reversed; and the only thing that seemed to explain the new pattern was a reversal or north and south poles of the sun. In September, 2000 I posted a message to the TimeStar egroup that the only thing that might explain the reversal of the glyph pattern in the TimeStar was a reversal of the sun’s north and south poles.
NASA announced that the sun’s north and south poles were well into their months-long process of reversing in a February 15, 2001 article. Scientists had already noticed the reversal in October, 2000, according to the article. This meant that the TimeStar had been one month ahead of NASA’s scientists, thus affirming the TimeStar’s basic premise. A developing system merging ancient wisdom with new technologies, the TimeStar’s applications are still coming into view.
WALL STREET JOURNAL PROJECTS DATE FOR HIGHEST SOLAR ACTIVITY
First developed to provide proofs for the ancient Mayan calendar, crop circles and extraterrestrial messages, TimeStar Forecasts have proven 100% accurate for predicting cycles of greater and lesser solar activity. The TimeStar has predicted periods of increased and decreased solar activity for three years as well as specified 13-day windows when equipment, computer and satellite failures were most likely.
Two years after the first TimeStar Forecast predicted that an impending solar phase shift was the key to Earth changes, in 1998 NASA announced that the sun would demonsrate increased activity through 2001. Two weeks before NASA's September 29, 1998 announcement of a gamma ray burst that impacted the Earth a full month after the event on August 27, 1998, the effects of this gamma ray burst on the people and planet of Earth was announced in TimeStar predictions. The TimeStar Forecast was published a week after the burst in the first week of September, presaging NASA's announcement by three weeks.
Six months after the TimeStar pinpointed January 21 - October 30, 2000 as the period of highest solar activity, astronomers specified that the most violent cycle of solar activity would begin in January, 2000. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists hope to provide notice of large solar flares within 1 hour of events.
The forecasts have served the purpose of proving the ancient proto-Mayan calendar's accuracy using an alternative scientific paradigm to the European based astronomy presently in vogue. Most importantly, the TimeStar has specified periods of bizarre human action and reaction associated with solar cycles and gamma ray bursts. Indeed! The effects of these phenomena on human physiology are far more crucial than the health of satellites that will be obsolete in another decade. The most important aspect of this paradigm and the TimeStar's next phase is defining the human inventory to discover high-end potentials tapped by the masters of time.
Astronomers Say Sun May Add To Computer Bugs in Year 2000
Wall Street Journal (AP) June 1, 1999.
CHICAGO--Computer date confusion about the year 2000 isn't the only problem Earth's technology is going to face when the new year rolls in. Astronomers say they're also worried about an angry sun.
In January, just as computers around the world are coping with the Y2K bug, the sun will enter the most violent and disruptive phase of its 11-year cycle.
Massive bursts of energy from the sun could mean celebrating the new millennium in the dark, with dead cellular phones. Ships and planes relying on satellites for navigation might have to haul out old-fashioned maps. Even spacewalking astronauts could be at risk, according to reports Monday at the national meeting of the American Astronomical Society.
Researchers, using new techniques, are forecasting the sun's cycle to peak during the months of January to April. The sun is expected to be busy with solar flares and coronal mass ejections--solar explosions that can equal a million 100 megaton hydrogen bombs.
Waves of solar energy can trigger power blackouts, block some radio communications and create phantom commands capable of sending satellites spinning out of their proper orbits.
An Hour's Notice:
There were two pieces of good news: The solar cycle is not expected to be as severe as some in the past, and, for the first time, there may be some warning, thanks to a government satellite that will detect bursts of solar energy and send about an hour's notice, said
JoAnn Joselyn of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
That warning, posted on the Internet and relayed through a special system, will give power companies time to align circuits to minimize or avoid damage from electrical surges, she said. Satellite operators can power down equipment or prepare to send corrective signals to their spacecraft.
Scientists have plotted 23 solar cycles, using historic and modern measurements. But the current cycle may be the most disruptive ever because much of the vulnerable communications technology now in use is new and has not been exposed to maximum solar activity, Ms. Joselyn said.
"The explosion in technology is intersecting with an extremely disturbed space environment," Ms. Joselyn said. "There is much higher risk now because we depend more on technology that is vulnerable."
Ms. Joselyn said energy bursts from the sun can cause an electrical charge to build up on the surface of satellites, triggering phantom signals.
In an earlier solar cycle, she said, small rocket thrusters on a satellite suddenly started firing, sending the spacecraft out of position. Control of another satellite was lost when its gyroscopes were disrupted.
Cell Phones Vulnerable:
Ms. Joselyn said cellular telephones may be vulnerable because they can use the ionosphere—the region of electrically charged gases in the upper atmosphere—to send radio signals, and bursts from the sun can disturb the ionosphere. Some cellular phone systems depend on satellites that are at risk too.
Solar energy eruptions can cause warm air to surge up from the Earth. That can drag some satellites to lower orbits, forcing satellite operators to use rocket fuel to reposition the spacecraft.
World-wide navigation, for ships and airplanes, relies heavily on the Global Positioning Satellite system, which uses a fleet of satellites that can be affected by the sun, Ms. Joselyn said.
"I am worried about the GPS more than anything else," she said. "We're starting to land airplanes with that system now." Electromagnetic energy from the sun can send huge waves of
electrical energy surging along power lines, shorting circuits and burning out equipment. A 1989 solar storm caused a province-wide blackout in Quebec, and coils in a transformer station in Salem, N.J., melted and caught fire, causing a regional outage.
Astronauts generally are safe inside the space shuttle or the International Space Station, but future missions to the moon or Mars will have to guard to solar radiation bursts.
"On the moon, they could get enough radiation to be lethal," said Ms. Joselyn. "If we fly to Mars, we'll have to consider the hazardous radiation from the sun."
A listing of all TimeStar predictions for 13 months through April, 1998 to May,
1999 follow. Forecasts for solar and magnetic events are based on 260-day
cycles or approximately nine months for each lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses
normally occur about every six months so that two eclipse cycles overlap each
for about three months. However three lunar eclipses, two of them partial
eclipses one month apart, produced intensely overlapped cycles for this period.
During the 13 months a total of 60 TimeStar predictions were cast that
included storms, earthquakes, and volcanoes not shown here but available on the
TimeStar Earth web site.
Overlapping 13-day windows for solar and magnetic events are listed in sets,
for a total of 11 sets for solar flares. The most intense solar and magnetic
events occurred with the heaviest overlapping of lunar eclipses. Moreover, the
heaviest solar and magnetic activity occurred as one window opened and another
closed.
Predictions for these events were documented with publication in The Missing
Link newsletter at least two weeks before the events or, after November, 1998,
posted on the TimeStar Earth web site.
As predicted, between May 10-22, solar flares reduced 79% in average light curve from levels for April 27-May 9. There was also a 31% decrease in average duration of flares. Although the number of solar flares did not change between the two windows -- 35 in the first and 34 in the next -- there was an averaged 50% reduction in light curves and durations of flares between the two windows.
On May 10, the gamma ray burst the TimeStar predicted for the 13-day window was reported in NASA Science News (May 18). "Eyes in the Southern Hemisphere are
turning to capture the fading glory of a gamma-ray burst that appeared on
May 10. The Burst and Transient Source Experiment (BATSE) aboard the
Compton Gamma Ray Observatory observed the powerful burst." Additionally, three
near-earth asteroids were discovered May 10, 12 and 13.
Feedback on symptoms experienced during periods of magnetic storms and gamma ray bursts indicated that thirst, anxiety, volatile emotions, and tiredness were felt in the U.S., Canada and Africa. Medical doctor who authored DAY OF DESTINY, John Mini, responded with the following observation:
"Something I've seen in patients' pulses during these storms is very interesting. Overall, I've noticed that the men's pulses have become geared up, similar to a fight or flight scenario. The women's pulses have come to a place I would describe as being somewhere between extreme grief and overwhelming worry. These pulses have backed off and normalized in the last week [written May 30]."
In Oriental medicine, these symptoms as well as thirst indicate an abundance of Cosmic Fire.
THE NEXT CYCLE OF INCREASED SOLAR ERUPTIONS WILL BE FROM JUNE 9-22 THAT IS EXTENDED TO JUNE 8-23 WITH THE TIMESTAR'S + / - 12 HOUR RULE COMPENSATING FOR UNIVERSAL TIME.
APRIL 27 - MAY 9 PREDICTION: Magnetic storms and solar flares will continue to be high but gradually decline from highs earlier in the month.
MAY 10 - MAY 22 PREDICTION: Activity at the Antarctic started with the May 1 window will intensify with this one, with the added possibility of extraordinary storms and asteroid discoveries or gamma ray bursts. Solar flares should be fairly low for the rest of the month.
31% reduction in duration of flares

PREDICTION (4/27-5/9):
Magnetic storms and solar flares will continue to be high but gradually
decline from highs earlier in the month.
PREDICTION (4/18-30):
Solar flares and magnetic storms that began to accelerate earlier in the
month will begin to kick here. Possibilities of computer, aircraft and
satellite failures are high, particularly in the Americas and Canada.
PREDICTION (4/11-23):
Solar flares will begin to step up in a cycle that will culminate in very
large flares during the following month.
RESULTS:
Solar Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) 5/3/99
5/5 - Magnetic storm registered on satellites May 5-6 with proton alert extended to May 7.
5/3 - A full halo-type solar coronal mass ejection (CME) occurred,
which will begin to impact the Earth May 5. Although scientists do not
have a clear picture of the causes and effects of various kinds of flares and mass ejections (protons spewing
out of the Sun), it is clear that tremendous energies are released and
extend for millions if not hundreds of millions of miles.
5/3 - "We Have NEVER Seen A Tornado This Large" CNN -
Tornadoes strike Oklahoma & Kansas.
There were 40 deaths and hundreds of injuries in an unprecedented storm that spawned
tornadoes through Oklahoma and Kansas. A tornado with winds exceeding
200 miles per hour spanned a mile near Moore, Oklahoma.

Crop Circle at Wallop near
Andover, Hampshire May 2, 1999
A succession of circles that grow progressively larger before conjuncting a ring resembles the central ring and circle in the April 16 formation amid geomagnetic
storms and coronal mass ejections (CME). An April 19, 1998 crop circle, also in the
Andover area, depicted a disc with an enormous eruption coming off it 13 days before
an unprecedented May 2, 1998 solar tornado. Although there were several anomalous
magnetic storms in April, there were few solar flares. This odd cycle in-hand with the first crop circles of the season
suggest solar-magnetic surprises are coming soon.

Crop Circle at Woodborough Hill near Alton Barnes, Wiltshire April 30, 1999
Although investigators were disappointed with the aparent
disintegration of this crop circle, rapid deterioration of the Fifth World that it geometrically resembles might be
part of the message.
TimeStar Prediction (4/27-5/9): Magnetic storms and solar flares will continue to be high but gradually
decline from highs earlier in the month.

Glyph for "Movement" ("Ollin") in Native American Sun Stone
The glyph for 'movement' (left), Ollin (Oh-LEEN), forms the center of the Sun Stone.
It is made from the face of the Sun, whose name is Tonatiuh
(Toh-NAH-tyoo). His hands are the symbols of the four Nahui (NAH-wee), or Ages
of the Sun. This glyph represented the era that ended with the July 11, 1991
solar eclipse, the Fifth World.
4/24-28 proton storms accompanied extraordinary solar coronal mass ejection (CME). A very large and extremely wide coronal mass ejection was observed in LASCO images
starting shortly before 13:30 UTC April 24 and became a full halo CME. The source of the
CME was a giant eruption in a region 3-4 days behind the northwest limb. An 10
MeV proton flux event started a few hours after the CME was observed and has so
far peaked at 32 pfu early on April 25.

Solar Eruption April 24, 1999
"This is an interesting "coincidence" given
people can hear the Aurora (from magnetic storms)... and radio frequencies,
which the Aurora can make can definitely influence people's brains and moods...
"As to the radio frequency [of the aurora] I used to drive my young children to a radio transmitter in the countryside,
West of Calgary, and watch their faces as the intensity of the wave wrinkled foreheads and tightened ear drums... "I can hear it!
I can hear it! Go away, Dad! Drive us away from it..." It is personal experience...
"Now just recently - I hope I sent it your way as well as others', a science blurb on the Speed of Light
Propagated "Sound of Meteors" an ancient mystery apparently solved...the mental hearing of
plasmoids living and dying their RF [radio frequency] songs of briefest life - just as the
fireball hurling through the virgin Sky! - he will tell you all your ears
will care to hear! Of course...the Aurora seem to have an occasional 'pop' or 'crackle'...it
has been recorded too, but
even that may be a static-like electromagnetic interference with the recorder...Sometimes,
when it turns off and then back on...there is a snap!...Static electricity repositioning
itself in many many cubic miles of atmosphere I would suppose!... Gary Ford"

Crop Circle at Bishop Cannings near Devizes, Wiltshire April 16, 1999
4/16 and 4/17, geomagnetic storms hit the earth's atmosphere, presumably
as a result of the CME on 4/13. There was an unexpectedly wild and rare
fluctuation of electrons. Geomagnetic storm activity was severe on 4/17, with
magnitudes hitting level 7 on a scale of 9 (level 5 is considered "storm"
level). The crop circle made on this date shows a circle and a ring conjuncting on this date.
TimeStar Prediction (4/18-30): Solar flares and magnetic storms that began to accelerate earlier in the
month will begin to kick here. Possibilities of computer, aircraft and
satellite failures are high, particularly in the Americas and Canada.
4/20 - Two young men killed or wounded 43 students and teachers at Columbine High School in
Littleton, Colorado before committing suicide. This tragedy occurred three days after
ferocious magnetic storms -- off the charts in both negative and postive polarities --
were registered on satellites April 16-17.

Crop Circle at Newton St Loe near Bath, No Somerset April 11, 1999
Made two days before a halo-type coronal mass ejection shot out of the sun, this crop circle
shows a halo-type circle interacting with a rotating medium attached to a representation of
Earth. This identification of Earth is based on an extension similar to the one that appeared in the
1993 Kennewick crop circle forming a triangle with the pyramids at Teotihuacan. An additional line on the
extension forms a Tau, the ancient symbol for the altar of life on Earth.
The April 11 date for this crop circle coincides with the opening of a 13-day window that the TimeStar predicted would initiate
major solar activity. Thirteen days later a large coronal mass ejection occurred on April 24, the date another
crop circle was made (not pictured).

Crop Circle at Kennewick, Washington May 29, 1993
TimeStar Prediction (4/11-23):
Solar flares will begin to step up in a cycle that will culminate in very
large flares during the following month.
An unique avenue on the Kennewick crop circle was aligned to polar north and the "F" extension
indicated magnetic north with its 19 degree declination. The Kennewick (WA) and Herkimer (NY) crop circles
formed an equilateral triangle with Native America's oldest pyramids at Teotihuacan with legs of 2,160 miles.
This number pointed to the 2,160-mile diameter of the moon and 2,160 years in an astrological age to decipher
the length of the pyramid center's central avenue. Another crop circle formed on April 30, 1999 displayed
the glyph symbolizing the Fifth World commemorated in the pyramids at Teotihuacan.

MARCH 6-18 / FEBRUARY 26-MARCH 10 / FEBRUARY 18-MARCH 2
PREDICTION (3/6-18):
Solar flares and magnetic storms will be accompanied with high levels of
human emotions and reactions. This is a similar configuration as the one in
which Air Force Captain Craig Buttons broke formation and subsequently flew
into a Colorado mountain. Hanna Krueger's remedies for flashes of dizziness and
emotionalism as well as insomnia are recommended.
PREDICTION (2/26-3/10):
The Middle East, Tibet and Mongolia are affected during this window while
solar flares accelerate with magnetic storms.
PREDICTION (2/18-3/2):
After several weeks of relative quiet, solar flares will increase again with
magnetic storms that have significant effects in the U.S. and Canada.
Navigation and aircraft of all kinds are vulnerable to failure in addition to
large power failures.
RESULTS:
Mar. 13-14-15-16-17-18 - Class M solar flares erupted on six consecutive days after a build-up of Class C flares. Flares subsided to Class B on the last day of this window, March 19. Mar. 9 - Magnetic storm followed Class M Solar flare. Mar. 8 - A Class M solar flare erupted following step-up of Class C flares and a 6.7 magnitude earthquake rattled northern latitudes of the TimeStar triangle for this window on March 8.
Millennium Madness dazzled sensation seekers when talk show host Art Bell blamed a middle-aged man's heart attack on the First Amendment. The TimeStar has repeatedly predicted periods of changing magnetic fields would overwhelm the thought processes of individuals who are poorly prepared. The local drama in this window was centered on the cause of science journalist Richard Hoagland's heart attack on March 8. Art Bell blamed Hoagland's heart condition on those who disagreed with them. Now in his 50's, Hoagland's lifestyle undoubtedly contributed to the heart condition common in middle-aged men. The American Heart Association's list of heart breakers, that has expanded in recent years to include self-esteem, was not mentioned in the sensational amateur medical discussion. Solar flares stepped-up on the day of the heart attack. Crossfire over Richard Hoagland's Middle-Age Heart Attack
Scientists Predict Violent Solar Storm...03/18/99 (ENN) By John Roach
As if Y2K weren't enough, there's another millennial menace to dread:
solar storms.
Scientists expect a violent solar storm—perhaps the worst in a
century—to strike sometime between now and January 2001. It may fry the
insides of satellites, knock out power supplies, and generally wreak
havoc on a technology-dependent society.
It will all start with a coronal mass ejection—a violent discharge of
electrically charged gas from the sun's outer atmosphere. The explosion
will hurl some ten billion tons of gas into space at speeds up to a
million miles (1.6 million kilometers) an hour.
Four days and 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) later, the storm
will tear through Earth's magnetic field.
WORRIES AND WARNINGS
Solar storms have struck hard before. On March 13, 1989, a solar storm
caused a power outage in Quebec, Canada, that left six million people
without electricity. Last year a smaller storm was blamed for bringing
down the Galaxy 4 satellite, halting news transmissions and pagers
across North America for days. Fortunately, NASA space scientists
announced on March 9 that they have found a way to forecast solar storms
a few days in advance, giving satellite and power companies time to
prepare for potential trouble.
The scientists discovered that an S-shaped structure appears on the sun
in advance of a violent eruption. The S is called a sigmoid, a twisting
of the sun's magnetic field. "Early warnings of approaching solar storms
could prove useful to power companies, the communications industry, and
organizations that operate spacecraft, including NASA," said a statement
from George Withbroew, a NASA scientist. "This is a major step forward
in understanding these tremendous storms."
With advanced warning, satellite companies can turn off high voltages on
their satellites before the plasma cloud hits them, and power companies
can briefly turn off parts of the grid until the surge of current
passes.
A paper on the S-shaped sigmoids was published in the March 15 issue of
Geophysical Research Letters.
March 15 - On a global scale, heavy religious rioting in Indonesia prompted a plea for unity in meditation from March 17 to April 16. By Bambang Pramana "...for several weeks Indonesia has been in the throes of very bloody civil strife between Muslims and Christians. In the city of Ambon alone, it is reported that more than a thousand people have been killed, 18 Mosques and 18 Churches burned down and more than 3500 houses and 1000 shops destroyed. The whole island, with a population of only 400,000, is a mosaic of roughly 40% Muslim and 60% Christian, and they are savagely destroying one another."
Mar. 9 - Magnetic storm followed Class M Solar flare. Mar. 8 - A Class M solar
flare erupted following step-up of Class C flares and a 6.7 magnitude
earthquake rattled northern latitudes of the TimeStar triangle for this window
on March 8.
Mar 4 - A moderate magnetic storm occurred March 4 as magnetometer readings
neared 0. Mar 1. - A large magnetic storm on March 1 followed a Class M solar
flare February 28 as this window opened overlapping the February 18-March 2
window.
Mar 1. - A large magnetic storm on March 1 followed a Class M solar flare
February 28 as this window drew to a close. The solar cycle will continue
through the February 26 - March 10 window.
Feb. 21- A Class M solar flare followed a magnetic storm February 18-19
accompanied by a dynamic auroral display visible in Alberta, Canada. "At this
moment
[Feb. 18, 12:48am] there is a large, dynamic Auroral Display overhead here in
Calgary Alberta. Like large flames flickering in the sky, laid out to appear
rising from approximately NE to SW. And "Danish" or Jelly-Roll large Sprirals =
contracting clockwise... Appearing and Disappearing overhead... It is better
than most I have ever seen, and I've seen hundreds - practically every night in
Winter in Fairbanks." [Gary Ford]
JANUARY 13-25 / DECEMBER 31-JANUARY 12 / DECEMBER 28-JANUARY 9
PREDICTION (1/13-25):
Very large solar flares accompanied with magnetic storms can cause renewed
volcanic eruptions beneath Europe's largest glacier in Iceland. This triangle
overlapping the above (January 10-22) focuses energy in the Atlantic at the
Arctic and Antarctic. Computer, navigation and equipment failures are probable.
Nuclear sites are at risk. This area includes the Caribbean islands and
Montserrat, which has acted as a trigger for Etna in Sicily, White Island in
New Zealand, and Vulcan del Fuego and Mt. Popo in Mexico.
PREDICTION (12/31-1/12):
Overlapping the above triangle on Turkey guarantees earthquakes in the
Mediterranean and Middle East. Equipment, computer, communication and satellite
failures will accompany solar flares. Volcanic activity in Iceland could
step-up during this window before along with storms and power equipment
failures through Spain and England.
PREDICTION (12/28-1/9):
Solar flares, anomalous lights will peak with large earthquakes / volcanoes
continuing in the pattern set outlined in the first two windows of December.
RESULTS:
Solar flare activity increased January 14 with nine C-Class events, a couple
of them moderately strong. These originated from two new regions coming onto
the solar disk, both of which seem to be growing quickly and flaring
sympathetically. Bright surging was also noted behind these two regions
indicating other strong spotted regions are likely approaching from the limb.
A surprise magnetic storm January 14-15 was loosely attributed [by the SEC] to
a disappearing solar filament on 1-9-99 and/or a long duration C1 class event.
Normally, neither of these events would have been expected to cause such a
vigorous storm event... unless an unusually direct Earthbound impact of the
energy occurred. The field conditions went into minor storm and remained there
for 12 hours. Volatile planetary magnetism readings for this storm increased
the potential for strong seismic and volcanic activity, and enhanced weather
dynamics.
(NASA) [January 23, 1999] one of the most powerful cosmic explosions ever
recorded bathed the earth in gamma rays. The gamma-ray burst -- called
GRB990123 -- was so intense that its visible light could have been seen through
common binoculars. Since then the optical counterpart to GRB990123 has faded
until it is 4 million times dimmer that it was during its peak.
Magnetic storms quickly followed solar eruptions with a Class M-5 flare on
January 20.
Freak Christmas storms killed seven people in Britain and Ireland.. (MSNBC)
Electricity officials restored power to 100,000 homes in the Irish Republic but
60,000 households remained without supply on Monday after the worst damage in
35 years. Weather officials in Dublin said strong winds would return on Tuesday
but they were unlikely to cause the kind of havoc of the weekend storm, when
winds reached 109 mph at Malin Head in Donegal — the strongest since Hurricane
Debbie in 1961.
A large blue flash over the night skies of Anchorage, Alaska January 8 was
accompanied by a loud explosion and a 2.2 earthquake. Earth Changes TV
reported, "One of the persons that they [local television] interviewed said
that he saw what appeared to be a 'ball of fire falling from the sky that was
trailed by a stream of light and when it impacted the ground there was an
immense flash of light and a minor earthquake." The loud blast simultaneously
heard by a number of witnesses indicated the meteor exploded, possibly before
hitting the earth. The source of the earthquake has not yet been identified as
debris, shock wave or other.
In Seattle, a brilliant blue light that streaked through the sky in the early
morning January 5 and on January 1 a meteor impacted Portugal. Greater-than-4
magnitude earthquakes in Russia and the Arctic increased during this window.
A large solar flare reported January 1 preceded the collapse of a solar
filament January 9.
Officials were at a loss to explain the failure of back-up generators to
function during a power failure at a nuclear plant in Scotland. "A FULL-SCALE
emergency was declared at a Scots nuclear station [December 29] when fierce
winds knocked out the power to cool its reactors... the plant remained shut
after bosses pressed the alarm button on Sunday. They couldn't restart the
back-up generators, vital to keep the reactors' two cores from overheating."

DECEMBER 5-17 / NOVEMBER 22-DECEMBER 4, 1998
PREDICTION (12/5-17):
Light displays and halos beginning in this window will enhance anomalies the
ancients called the Festival of Lights. Activity at the Antarctic will increase
with volcanic earthquakes that accompany increasing breakage of ice shelves.
PREDICTION (11/22-12/4):
Solar flares will increase again as activity picks up through China, Mongolia
and Siberia northerly to the Arctic.
RESULTS:
Large solar flares and magnetic storms continued through this window.
Although under-ice volcanoes continue to erupt around the Antarctic, which the
TimeStar continues to predict will produce large-scale activity before July,
1999, no exceptional event was reported at the Antarctic in this window.
Large solar flares the TimeStar predicted to begin November 22 continued
through December. Signal bursts associated with the solar flares were
mistakenly identified as incoming space craft, that some estimated to arrive
"somewhere" north of Phoenix, Arizona December 7. Although UFO sightings
radically increased over Georgia December 7, none landed.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A citywide blackout cut off power to more than a third of
a million customers Tuesday [December 8], halting trains, planes and cars,
closing shops and schools and leaving pedestrians scrambling. John Tremayne, a
Pacific Gas & Electric spokesman for the Central Valley, said the outage
happened when a transmission substation in San Mateo County experienced a drop
in power for unknown reasons [emphasis added]. That caused two gas-powered
electrical generation facilities to drop off-line. Power went out just after 8
a.m. Electricity was beginning to be restored to the 372,000 affected customers
by midmorning, but the work was expected to last into the late afternoon, said
a PG&E spokesman.
Two Class X solar flares occurred November 22 and November 24 in the November
22 - December 4 window in which they were predicted. Following the
extraordinary solar activity, a series of signal bursts was detected November
30 that continued through December 7, when they peaked. Frequency and severity
of storms, volcanoes and earthquakes in predicted areas that included Arizona
and Mexico, increased during these windows.
Activity of this nature was predicted following the August 27, 1998 radiation
burst that ionized the upper atmosphere. The High-frequency Active Auroral
Research Project (HAARP) was activated, possibly to counteract the effects of
solar activity in the electromagnetic spectrum through the ionosphere.
NOVEMBER 14-26 / NOVEMBER 6-18
PREDICTION (11/14-26):
Solar flares accompanied with storms and floods, power and equipment failures,
and anomalous light displays will increase again in this window.
PREDICTION (11/6-18):
Solar flares and magnetic / electrical storms will increase during this window
that will continue to build to peak levels in 1999. Appearances of the aurora
borealis will accompany power, computer, navigation and aircraft failures in
the Pacific and coastal areas easterly to Utah, Arizona and New Mexico as
earthquakes increase from Alaska southerly to Peru. These precursors to the
bigger show November 27 to December 10 could include Mt. Baker, Mt. St. Helens
and Juan de Fuca Plate through Queen Charlotte Island and the Aleutians.
Conditions during this window will contribute to a beautifully luminous showing
of the Leonid meteorite shower on November 18 with the potential of causing
some damage to satellites but far less than will be seen November 19, 1999.
RESULTS:
Magnetic storms on November 9 and November 13 following coronal mass
ejections. Nicaraguan officials issued a warning that the San Cristobal Volcano
was dangerously active and could soon erupt. Hundreds of people were evacuated
when Volcan del Fuego 280 miles west of Mexico City threatened to erupt.
Thousands of small tremors were recorded at the 13,000-foot mountain.
One of the most intense winter storms on record swept across the Northern Plans
and the upper Midwest, producing a rare combination of tornadoes, blizzards and
hurricane-force winds. All-time-low barometric pressure records were reported
across the region because of the winter-like cyclone, including a reading of
28.41 inches of mercury in Austin, Minnesota.
OCTOBER 1-13
PREDICTION:
Solar flares, electrical and magnetic storms will increase over the last
period affecting communications, navigation and satellites in Canada, East
Coast of the U.S. and northern latitudes to Salt Lake. Solar flares accompanied
with equipment, computer, satellite and communication failures will peak during
this window.
RESULTS:
This window opened with a magnetic storm that interrupted cable services on
October 1. In an unheard-of-loss, About 2,400 homing pigeons disappeared during
two long-distances races in Pennsylvania October 5. Racing veterans were at a
loss to explain what caused the pigeons to disappear. Although there were no
weather problems, sun-spot activity, comets, meteor showers or planetary
alignments, conditions associated with the October 1 magnetic storm could have
affected the birds. An unexpected Class M solar flare erupted October 7.
SEPTEMBER 18-30
PREDICTION:
Electrical and magnetic storms will impact the Atlantic Coast and Midwest of
the United States as far west as Utah. These factors along with earthquakes on
the West Coast will result in power failures and some disruption of services.
RESULTS:
Solar wind literally blew a portion of Earth's atmosphere "away" September
24-25. Severe weather spread slowly across the U.S., with tornadoes,
thunderstorms and flash flooding, in the wake of Hurricane George. A 2-year-old
boy was killed and at least 12 were injured when an electrical storm tore
through a mobile home park 20 miles north of Oklahoma City. The 80 mph winds
took down power lines and uprooted trees September 21.
After battering Caribbean islands, tropical storm Georges swept over the
Florida Keys before heading towards southern coastal areas of the Gulf of
Mexico September 25. After opting to move the Discoverer shuttle to a shelter
during the storm, NASA decided the risk of a lightning hit to the shuttle was
too great to move it. Millions were evacuated from coastal areas of southern
Florida westerly through Louisiana and Mississippi. In excess of 300 people
were killed by Georges. After down-sizing to a tropical depression September
28, Georges dumped up to 40 inches of rain in southern states.
AUGUST 2-14
PREDICTION:
Electrical and magnetic storms will result in "more of the same" experienced
on the East Coast, the Dakotas and Canada since the Air Force first canceled
flights in September, 1997. These fundamental electrical and magnetic
fluctuations will result in radar, computer and navigational failures as well
as storms and more storms. Canada will be more heavily affected than during
previous months and events around Niagara Falls will likely make the news.
These effects will be seen as far west as the Great Salt Lake Desert and as far
south as Phoenix, Arizona. Volcanic activity at Montserrat, Etna and Vesuvius
will continue through the next month.
RESULT:
Pilots reported confusing communications with airports due to poor radio
transmissions caused by magnetic storms following large solar flares in August.
Massachusetts computer failure caused flights to be canceled.
Three hundred people were evacuated from floods in Wisconsin while parts of
Michigan and Indiana coped with flooded levees and roads on August 6. A 5.4
earthquake shook Northern California along the San Andreas Fault with a 4.1 in
southern-central Alaska. Other earthquakes included a 6.0 in western China and
5.0 magnitude quakes in Japan, Iran, the Philippines.
Mount Etna and Vesuvius continued to be active. Officials announced that they
expected the Soufriere Hills volcano on Montserrat in the Caribbean to become
dormant for at least 30 years. (We'll see.)
JUNE 24-JULY 6
PREDICTION:
As the "thought bubbles" coming off the Andover, Hampshire crop circle (made
April 19, 1998) indicate, solar flares will continue to grow in size and
frequency. Extreme heat and drought in some parts of the globe in contrast to
floods in others will continue to define new weather patterns as the Antarctic
collapses. Although the momentum of the cycle will be more apparent later in
the year, signs of the building cycle will be evident this summer.
RESULTS:
Solar flares accompanied with communication, computer, radar and navigational
failures the TimeStar predicted would begin in May culminated in the loss of
three satellites as well as the grounding of 200 planes in New York due to
computer failure at the end of June. During this period, Airforce One and Two
were each lost on radar prompting the Air Force to speculate about problems
with their new radar system.
NASA's SOHO satellite observing the sun inexplicably became inoperative on June
25 as large solar flares continued to erupt. A major magnetic storm reached 6
or 7 magnitude on Earth June 26. At least 24 people were killed from Minnesota
to New England from lightning strikes and floods in the last week of June.
Caribbean volcano Soufriere Hills on Montserrat volcano erupted with a massive
cloud of ash on July 2 after Mt. Etna erupted with renewed violence on July 1.
Dr. David Suzuki appeared on Australian television to announce that the Larsen
B Ice Shelf will break off in less than three years as Australian aboriginal
tribes have started to move inland to avoid the dangers of a collapsing ice
shelf. On July 6, a PanAm satellite was lost bringing the total of satellites
disabled during the period predicted with the TimeStar to three.
MAY 29-JUNE 10 / MAY 21 - JUNE 2
PREDICTION (5/29-6/10):
Power, communication, radar, navigational, and aircraft failures as well as
sightings of unidentified "light" objects will be prevalent during the first
days of this window. Magnetic flux will characterize this 13-day window when
energy is drawn to the Bermuda Triangle and northerly along the East Coast of
the U.S. to Hudson Bay. After June 3, the focus of events will turn to Middle
East, India, Afghanistan, and Mongolia.
PREDICTION (5/21-6/2):
Magnetic flux will characterize this last 13-day window of the Yellow Warrior
eclipse focused on the Bermuda Triangle northerly on the East Coast of the U.S.
to Hudson Bay. Magnetic events started in the White Dog window will intensify
as they extend northerly in the Bermuda Triangle and East Coast of America.
Power, communication, radar, navigational, and aircraft failures as well as
sightings of unidentified "light" objects will increase between May 21 and June
3.
RESULTS:
Two comets entered the sun on June 3 followed by 30-35 solar flares.
APRIL 20-MAY 2 / APRIL 12-24
PREDICTION:
Integrating opposite points on the globe, windows for the two eclipse cycles
converge at the Arctic Circle on the 39th day. Both windows are associated with
sites where extraordinary lights are visible (Alaska and Siberia).
LARGE SOLAR FLARES during this window will interact with the Earth's magnetic
fields to cause dramatic displays of lights. As the seal's name implies,
unexpected human responses and perceptions are likely to result from changes in
magnetic fields. Earthquake and volcanic activity in areas of the Mediterranean
and West Coast of the U.S. will increase from stress between opposite points on
the globe.
RESULTS:
Increasing magnitudes of solar flares in the X-ray and ultraviolet bands
resulted in the malfunction of four satellite telescope links during the last
two days of this window.
